Public Interest Technology (PInT) at Olin

Spring 2019-Present

Public interest technology is an emerging field dedicated to leveraging technology to do good in the world.

In the spring of 2019, I was one of five students who joined a co-curricular led by Olin Professor Erhardt Graeff about the emerging field of public interest technology and how it could take form at Olin. At the end of that semester, the students in the co-curricular founded PInT (pronounced like “pint of ice cream”), a project team focused on bringing students together to learn about and create public interest technology. We were awarded a $90,000 grant from the PIT-UN, and are currently working on “PInT in a Box,” a guide on how to start your own public interest technology group.

I’ve also done some graphic design for PInT, including the design of our logo and of club buttons. Check them out below!
